Key Lime Semifreddo Recipe

Sarah’s Story:
I first had semifreddo at a little beach café while on vacation, and I was hooked. It tasted like ice cream and mousse had a baby — light, fluffy, but still creamy. When I got home, I started experimenting with key lime juice and Greek yogurt to keep it a bit lighter. Now this is our go-to frozen treat for dinner parties or those summer nights when we want something a little fancy but fuss-free.

⅓ cup honey or maple syrup
-
1 tsp vanilla extract

Pinch of sea salt
-
Optional: crushed graham crackers or almond cookies for serving
👩🍳 Instructions:

Whip the cream:
In a mixing bowl, whip the chilled cream until soft peaks form. Set aside. -
Mix the base:
In another bowl, whisk together Greek yogurt, key lime juice, zest, honey, vanilla, and salt until smooth. -

No key limes? Regular lime juice works too!

Make it dairy-free with coconut cream and coconut yogurt.
-
Slice thinly — it’s rich and goes a long way!
