Chia Berry Milkshake Recipe

5 minutes antioxidants berries chia seeds dairy-free healthy desserts high fiber plant-based quick recipes

I started adding chia seeds to smoothies when I wanted to feel full longer without adding extra sugar. One day I blended them into a frozen berry shake, and wow — the texture was so thick and creamy, it felt like a dessert. Now this is one of my go-to morning shakes or afternoon snacks that keeps me going without the crash.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup frozen mixed berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries)

  • 1 frozen banana

  • 1 ½ cups unsweetened almond milk (or oat milk)

  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 1 teaspoon honey or maple syrup (optional)

  • Ice cubes (optional, for extra thickness)

Instructions:

  1. Add all ingredients to a blender.

  2. Blend until thick and creamy. Let it sit for a minute or two so the chia seeds start to expand.

  3. Blend again briefly and pour into glasses.

  4. Serve immediately, or chill for a few minutes if you like it thicker.
