One-Pan BBQ Ranch Chicken Bake Recipe

This is the kind of weeknight dinner I lean on when I need something super easy but still want everyone at the table to love it.
It’s bold, saucy, a little smoky, and comes together on just one pan. Fewer dishes. Bigger flavor. That’s a win.
This One-Pan BBQ Ranch Chicken Bake combines two of my favorite flavors — barbecue and ranch — and pairs them with roasted veggies for a meal that’s cozy, clean, and super satisfying. It’s one of those recipes where you just chop, toss, and bake.
You can use any veggies you have on hand, and if you’re cooking for picky eaters, this one is a total crowd-pleaser.
Ingredients:
-
4 boneless, skinless chicken thighs or breasts
-
1 tbsp olive oil
-
½ cup clean BBQ sauce (no HFCS, low sugar)
-
1 tbsp ranch seasoning (store-bought or homemade)
-
2 cups baby potatoes, halved
-
1 red bell pepper, sliced
-
1 small red onion, sliced
-
Salt and pepper to taste
-
Optional: chopped parsley or green onion for topping
Instructions:
-
Preheat oven to 425°F
Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper. -
Season and coat
In a large bowl, toss chicken with BBQ sauce and ranch seasoning until evenly coated. In a separate bowl, toss the potatoes, pepper, and onion with olive oil, salt, and pepper. -
Arrange and bake
Spread the veggies on the sheet pan and nestle the coated chicken on top. Roast for 25–30 minutes, or until chicken is cooked through and veggies are tender. Broil the last 2–3 minutes for extra caramelization. -
Garnish and serve
Top with fresh herbs if desired and serve warm — as is or with a simple green salad on the side.
Sarah’s Tips:
-
Use chicken thighs for maximum juiciness, but breasts work great too.
-
Homemade ranch seasoning: Mix 1 tsp garlic powder, 1 tsp onion powder, ½ tsp dried dill, ½ tsp parsley, salt, and pepper.
-
Add more veg: Try zucchini, corn, or broccoli depending on what’s in season.
-
Great for meal prep: Store leftovers in containers for lunch or quick reheat dinners.
Flavorful Conclusion:
This One-Pan BBQ Ranch Chicken Bake is one of those meals that’s so easy, you’ll wonder how it tastes this good. It’s saucy, savory, and totally weeknight-friendly. Clean ingredients, big flavor, and just one pan to wash — what’s not to love?
