Easy & Healthy Chocolate-Dipped Strawberries Recipe

Sarah’s Story:
One Valentine’s Day when I didn’t feel like buying one more box of chocolate, I made these at home instead. They were so easy (and honestly so much better) that now we make them every summer with fresh berries from the farmer’s market. Sometimes we sprinkle sea salt, crushed almonds, or shredded coconut on top — and they disappear in minutes.
🍓 Chocolate-Dipped Strawberries Recipe
Ingredients:
-
1 pint fresh strawberries, washed and completely dried
-
1 cup dark chocolate chips or chopped dark chocolate (at least 70%)
-
1 tsp coconut oil (optional, for smoother melting)
-
Optional toppings: crushed nuts, shredded coconut, flaky sea salt, freeze-dried raspberries
👩🍳 Instructions:
-
Melt the chocolate:
In a heatproof bowl, melt the chocolate and coconut oil (if using) over a double boiler or in 30-second bursts in the microwave, stirring until smooth. -
Dip the strawberries:
Hold each strawberry by the stem and dip into the chocolate, letting the excess drip off. Place on a parchment-lined tray. -
Add toppings (optional):
While the chocolate is still wet, sprinkle with your favorite toppings. -
Chill to set:
Refrigerate for 15–20 minutes until the chocolate is firm. Enjoy immediately or store chilled for up to 2 days.
đź’ˇ Tips:
-
Make sure the strawberries are 100% dry before dipping — water can cause the chocolate to seize.
-
Use dairy-free dark chocolate for a vegan version.
-
Try white chocolate or drizzle extra chocolate over the top for a fun twist.
