If you’ve never had nachos topped with BBQ pulled pork, you’re missing out on one of the greatest comfort food mashups ever. Sweet, smoky meat + melty cheese + crispy chips + tangy sauce = pure magic.

I made these once for a Sunday game and my family went absolutely silent after the first bite. Now it’s our go-to “party night” dish — no forks required (but a stack of napkins definitely is).

Ingredients

  • 1 bag tortilla chips (sturdy, restaurant-style)

  • 2 cups cooked pulled pork (homemade or store-bought)

  • 1/2 cup BBQ sauce (your favorite)

  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese (or cheddar-jack blend)

  • 1/4 cup red onion, thinly sliced

  • 1/4 cup pickled jalapeños

  • 1/4 cup sour cream

  • 2 tbsp chopped cilantro

  • Optional: avocado, green onions, diced tomatoes

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C)
Line a sheet pan with parchment for easy cleanup.

  2. Warm the pork
Mix pulled pork with BBQ sauce and heat on the stove or microwave until warm.

  3. Layer the nachos
Spread a layer of chips on the sheet pan. Top with half the pork and cheese. Repeat with another layer of chips, pork, and cheese.

  4. Bake
Bake for 8–10 minutes, until cheese is fully melted and bubbly.

  5. Add toppings
Sprinkle with red onions, jalapeños, cilantro, sour cream, and anything else you love.

  6. Serve hot
Best enjoyed straight from the sheet pan with cold drinks and good company.

Sarah’s Tips

  • Use pulled rotisserie chicken or jackfruit for a twist on the classic.

  • Make it spicy with hot BBQ sauce or chipotle cheddar.

  • Serve with extra BBQ sauce or ranch for drizzling.

  • Great for movie night, game day, or an easy Friday night dinner.
