Watermelon Stick Snack Recipe

5 minutes dairy free gluten free healthy snacks kid friendly no bake summer recipes

This one’s barely a recipe — but it’s a total summer hack. I started slicing watermelon into sticks when my kids were little, and now it’s just how we do it. No messy cubes, no need for forks — just grab-and-go fruity goodness. It’s my favorite way to serve watermelon at BBQs or just to keep in the fridge for hot days.

Ingredients:

  • 1 large watermelon (seedless preferred)

Instructions:

  1. Cut the watermelon in half crosswise.

  2. Slice one half into 1-inch thick round slices.

  3. Cut each round into sticks — like long rectangles, perfect for holding.

  4. Arrange on a tray and chill until ready to serve.

Optional Serving Ideas:

  • Sprinkle with a little sea salt or Tajín

  • Drizzle with lime juice

  • Serve with Greek yogurt dip on the side
