When I first tried this…

It was SO hot outside. I’m talking sweat-dripping, kids-fighting-over-the-hose, iced coffee-melting-in-10-minutes kind of day.
I had a giant watermelon on the counter, and no one wanted to eat it in chunks anymore. So I froze it on a whim — and blended it with a little lime juice and honey.

🍉 Easy Watermelon Sorbet Recipe

Prep Time: 10 minutes
Freeze Time: 3–4 hours (or overnight)
Total Time: ~4 hours
Serves: 4

 

Ingredients

  • 4 cups watermelon, cubed and frozen

  • 1 tbsp lime juice (fresh)

  • 1–2 tbsp honey or maple syrup (optional, based on sweetness)

 

👩‍🍳 Instructions

  1. ❄️ Freeze watermelon cubes for at least 3–4 hours, or overnight.

  2. 🌀 Add frozen watermelon, lime juice, and honey to a high-speed blender or food processor.

  3. 💪 Blend until smooth and creamy, scraping down the sides as needed.

  4. 🍨 Serve immediately as a soft-serve-style treat — or freeze again for 1–2 hours for scoopable sorbet texture.
