Summer Sangria Splash Recipe

I used to think sangria was only for special occasions and always boozy. But after playing around with fresh fruit and sparkling water, I came up with this version that’s just as fun, totally clean, and kid-approved! It’s now our go-to pitcher drink for summer nights and backyard dinners.
Ingredients:
-
½ orange, thinly sliced
-
½ lemon, thinly sliced
-
½ lime, thinly sliced
-
½ cup strawberries, sliced
-
½ cup blueberries
-
1 cup grape juice (100% juice, no sugar added)
-
1 cup pomegranate juice or cranberry juice (optional for deeper color)
-
2 cups sparkling water or club soda
-
Ice cubes
-
Fresh mint (for garnish)
Instructions:
-
Layer the fruit:
Add all sliced citrus, berries, and grapes (if using) to a large pitcher. -
Add the juice:
Pour in grape juice and pomegranate or cranberry juice. Stir to combine. -
Top with bubbles:
Just before serving, add sparkling water and gently stir. -
Serve chilled:
Fill glasses with ice, pour sangria over, and garnish with fresh mint.
Sarah’s Tips:
-
Want it sweeter? Add a splash of orange juice or a teaspoon of honey.
-
To make ahead: prep the fruit + juice mixture and refrigerate. Add sparkling water right before serving to keep it fizzy!
-
This makes a great pitcher drink for summer BBQs, potlucks, or girls’ nights.
