Strawberry Lemonade Recipe

I started making strawberry lemonade during my “lemon water every day” phase — but let’s be honest, plain lemon water got old fast. I had extra berries one day, tossed them in the blender with lemon juice, and wow. That first sip was sunshine in a glass. Now I make a pitcher anytime we’re sitting outside — it’s simple, pretty, and my kids love it too (especially with crushed ice).
Ingredients:
-
1 lb fresh strawberries, hulled
-
1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 5–6 lemons)
-
¾ cup honey or sugar (adjust to taste)
-
5 cups cold water
-
Optional: lemon slices and extra strawberries for garnish
-
Optional: fresh mint or basil leaves
Instructions:
-
Make the strawberry puree
In a blender, combine strawberries and 1 cup of water. Blend until smooth. Strain through a fine mesh sieve if you prefer a smoother lemonade. -
Mix the lemonade
In a large pitcher, combine the strawberry puree, lemon juice, and sweetener. Stir well until the honey or sugar dissolves. -
Add water
Pour in the remaining 4 cups of cold water. Stir and taste — adjust sweetness or acidity as needed. -
Chill and serve
Refrigerate until cold or serve immediately over ice. Garnish with fresh berries, lemon slices, or herbs for a pretty finish.
