Minted Watermelon Wave Recipe

2 servings 5 minutes easy drinks healthy drinks mint recipes summer beverages watermelon recipes

On those blazing hot afternoons, nothing beats watermelon — except maybe blended watermelon with mint and lime over ice. That’s how this recipe was born! I made it with leftover fruit from a BBQ, and now it’s one of my favorite ways to stay hydrated. It’s light, super fresh, and makes water feel like a treat. My kids even call it “watermelon slushie juice” — and they’re not wrong!

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups seedless watermelon, cubed

  • Juice of ½ lime

  • 4–5 fresh mint leaves

  • ½–1 tsp honey or agave (optional, depending on sweetness of watermelon)

  • 1 cup cold water or sparkling water

  • Ice cubes

  • Garnish: watermelon wedge, mint sprig

Instructions:

  1. Blend watermelon, lime juice, mint, and honey until smooth.

  2. Pour over ice and top with cold still or sparkling water.

  3. Stir gently and garnish with fresh mint and a watermelon wedge.

  4. Sip and enjoy the wave of fresh flavor!
