Lime Splash Iced Tea Recipe

I used to crash hard around 3 PM — and reach for something sweet or caffeinated (or both). But the energy boost never lasted, and dinner always felt harder after.
So I swapped my usual afternoon drink for something lighter — this Lime Splash Iced Tea. It’s clean, refreshing, and wakes me up without the crash. Iced green tea + fresh lime + mint = total game-changer. Now it’s my daily go-to, especially when I need hydration and a little flavor pick-me-up.
Ingredients
-
2 green tea bags
-
1 ½ cups hot water
-
Juice of 1 lime
-
3–4 mint leaves
-
1/2 cup cold water
-
1/2 cup ice
-
Optional: a few drops of liquid stevia or 1 tsp honey
Instructions
-
Brew the tea
Steep the green tea bags in 1 ½ cups hot water for 5 minutes. Remove bags and let the tea cool slightly. -
Mix in the flavor
In a mason jar or pitcher, add lime juice, mint leaves, and sweetener if using. -
Combine & chill
Add the cooled tea, cold water, and ice. Stir everything together and let it chill in the fridge for 10–15 minutes if you want it extra cold. -
Serve cold
Pour into glasses and garnish with a lime slice or mint sprig if you’re feeling fancy.
