Grilled Turkey Sausages with Peppers Recipe

I used to rely on takeout on busy nights, especially when I had zero energy left. Then I discovered this simple grill combo — turkey sausages with peppers and onions. No complicated steps, no mess. Just real, satisfying food. My family loves the colors and flavors, and I love how fast it comes together. It’s become one of our weeknight staples, especially in summer!

 

Ingredients:

  • 4 turkey sausages (mild or spicy, your choice)

  • 2 bell peppers, sliced (mix of red, yellow, or orange)

  • 1 large red onion, sliced

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning or dried oregano

  • Salt & pepper, to taste

  • Optional: fresh parsley for garnish

 

Instructions:

  1. Prep the veggies: In a large bowl, toss sliced peppers and onions with olive oil, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.

  2. Grill the sausages: Preheat grill to medium-high. Place sausages directly on the grill and cook for 5–6 minutes per side, until nicely browned and cooked through (internal temp should reach 165°F).

  3. Grill the veggies: While sausages are cooking, place peppers and onions on a grill pan or in foil. Grill for 8–10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until softened and slightly charred.

  4. Serve: Slice the sausages if desired and serve with grilled veggies. Garnish with fresh parsley and enjoy!
