Grilled Pita with Hummus Recipe

We had friends over on a warm Friday evening, and I needed something quick to snack on before dinner. I grabbed a pack of pita, fired up the grill, and paired it with hummus from the fridge. That first bite — warm, charred pita dipped in smooth, garlicky hummus — was so good it stopped the conversation. Since then, grilled pita with hummus has become my go-to starter. It’s ridiculously easy, feels a little fancy, and always disappears fast.

For the Grilled Pita:
-
4 pita breads (store-bought or homemade)

1 tablespoon olive oil

2 tablespoons olive oil

Brush pita on both sides with olive oil and sprinkle with salt.

Grill pita for 1–2 minutes per side until warm with grill marks.
