Frozen Banana Pop Recipe

10 minutes (plus freezing) 4 pops dairy free gluten free healthy snacks kid friendly no bake summer recipes

Frozen bananas saved me during those long, hot afternoons when I wanted something sweet but didn’t want to undo my whole day. I started making these pops as a fun treat for the kids — and now I make them for me too. They’re part smoothie, part ice cream, and all kinds of satisfying.

Ingredients:

  • 2 ripe bananas, peeled and cut in half

  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips or melting chocolate

  • 1 tsp coconut oil (optional, for smoother melting)

  • Toppings: crushed nuts, shredded coconut, sprinkles, mini chocolate chips

  • Wooden sticks or popsicle sticks

Instructions:

  1. Insert a wooden stick into the flat end of each banana half. Place on a parchment-lined tray and freeze for at least 1 hour.

  2. Melt chocolate and coconut oil together in the microwave or on the stove, stirring until smooth.

  3. Dip each frozen banana in melted chocolate and quickly sprinkle with your favorite toppings.

  4. Return to tray and freeze until chocolate is set (about 15 minutes). Enjoy straight from the freezer!
