Let’s be real — sometimes you just need chocolate that’s deep, dark, and slightly dramatic. I made this one night after the kids were in bed, and I needed something indulgent but easy. This dark chocolate milkshake is thick, velvety, and not overly sweet — just the way I like it. Now it’s my go-to when I want to treat myself without feeling weighed down.

Ingredients:

  • 2 scoops dark chocolate or plain chocolate ice cream

  • 2 tbsp unsweetened dark cocoa powder

  • ½ cup milk of choice (I love unsweetened almond milk here)

  • 1 tbsp maple syrup or agave (adjust to taste)

  • ½ tsp vanilla extract

  • Pinch of sea salt (optional — enhances the chocolate flavor)

  • Whipped cream and dark chocolate shavings to top (optional)

 

Instructions:

  1. Blend ice cream, cocoa powder, milk, maple syrup, vanilla, and salt (if using) until smooth and thick.

  2. Pour into a chilled glass.

  3. Top with whipped cream and dark chocolate shavings if you’re feeling fancy.
