Raspberry Swirl Milkshake Recipe

Creamy, fruity, and swirled with the most gorgeous raspberry ribbon — this is one of those treats that feels fancy but takes 5 minutes.
I made this on a whim when I had some extra raspberries and a craving for something cold and sweet. Turns out, it’s so good, it now has a permanent spot in our summer treat rotation. The raspberry swirl makes it feel special (and it looks so pretty in a glass), but it’s incredibly simple to make.
It’s the perfect milkshake to enjoy outside on a warm day or surprise someone with a sweet moment that feels extra thoughtful.
Ingredients
-
1 cup vanilla ice cream or frozen yogurt
-
3/4 cup milk of choice
-
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
Raspberry Swirl:
-
1/2 cup fresh or frozen raspberries
-
1–2 tsp honey or maple syrup
-
Optional: squeeze of lemon juice for brightness
Instructions
-
Make the swirl:
In a small saucepan or microwave-safe bowl, heat raspberries and honey until juicy and syrupy (about 2–3 minutes). Lightly mash and let cool. -
Blend the milkshake:
In a blender, combine ice cream, milk, and vanilla extract. Blend until smooth and creamy. -
Swirl and serve:
Spoon some raspberry swirl around the inside of a tall glass. Pour in the milkshake, then drizzle more raspberry sauce on top. Gently swirl with a spoon or straw. Top with whipped cream and a few fresh raspberries if you’d like!
Sarah’s Tips
-
Frozen raspberries give a richer color and cooler temp — great for extra-hot days.
-
Want it extra fruity? Add a few raspberries into the blender with the shake.
-
For a fancy touch, rim the glass with sugar or a raspberry dust for special occasions.
