Broccoli Rice Bowl Recipe

I used to think bowls had to be complicated — like 12 ingredients and a fancy sauce. But one night, I tossed broccoli and rice together with a few pantry staples and wow... it just worked. It’s become one of those repeat recipes I turn to when I want something warm and healthy fast.
Broccoli Rice Bowl Recipe
Ingredients:

1 cup cooked rice (white, brown, or jasmine)

2 cups broccoli florets

1 tbsp olive oil
-
1 garlic clove, minced
-
1 tbsp soy sauce (or tamari)

1 tsp sesame oil (optional, for flavor)

Salt & pepper to taste

Optional toppings: sesame seeds, green onions, avocado, fried egg, chili flakes
Instructions
Cook the Rice:

If you don’t already have cooked rice, make ½ cup dry rice according to package directions (you’ll need 1 cup cooked).

Tip: Great use for leftovers!
Sauté the Broccoli:

Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat.

Add broccoli florets and a pinch of salt.

Sauté for 4–5 minutes until bright green and slightly tender.

Add garlic and cook for 1 more minute.
Build Your Bowl:

Add cooked rice to your serving bowl.

Top with sautéed broccoli and garlic.

Drizzle with soy sauce and a splash of sesame oil.

Add your favorite toppings — avocado, sesame seeds, a runny egg, or spicy chili flakes.
