5-Minute Cherry Pie Milkshake Recipe

This milkshake tastes like something straight from an old-fashioned diner — sweet cherries, creamy vanilla, and a hint of something cozy and homemade.
I first made it after baking a cherry pie and having some extra filling — but you don’t need leftovers to recreate the magic. Just blend frozen cherries, vanilla ice cream, and a splash of almond or vanilla extract, and it becomes the creamiest, dreamiest shake with all those cherry pie vibes.
It’s quick, beautiful, and the perfect blend of fun and indulgent. And yes — the kids love it.
Ingredients
-
1 cup frozen cherries (sweet or tart)
-
1 cup vanilla ice cream
-
3/4 cup milk of choice
-
1/2 tsp vanilla or almond extract
-
Optional: 1–2 graham crackers or shortbread cookies, crumbled (for pie crust flavor)
-
Whipped cream + cherry on top (optional, but adorable)
Instructions
-
Blend it up:
Add cherries, ice cream, milk, and extract to a blender. Blend until thick and creamy. -
Add the pie vibes:
Toss in crumbled graham cracker or cookie and pulse just once or twice — you want tiny pieces, not full crumbs. -
Serve:
Pour into glasses and top with whipped cream and a cherry. Sip and enjoy!
Sarah’s Tips
-
Tart cherries = old-fashioned flavor, sweet cherries = more mellow. Use what you love!
-
Add a swirl of cherry pie filling if you have some for extra richness.
-
No ice cream? Try frozen banana + Greek yogurt for a lighter version.
