10-Minute Blueberry Lemonade Breeze Recipe

I came up with this drink on a hot Saturday afternoon when the kids were melting, I was craving something fizzy, and we had just enough blueberries left in the fridge.
I didn’t want another sugary soda or a boring glass of water — so I tossed together real lemon juice, juicy blueberries, and a splash of sparkling water.
It was love at first sip. Sweet, tart, bubbly, and so refreshing — this is now our go-to summer “mocktail.”
Blueberry Lemonade Breeze Recipe
Ingredients:
-
1 cup fresh or frozen blueberries
-
2 tbsp honey or maple syrup (adjust to taste)
-
½ cup fresh lemon juice (about 2 lemons)
-
1 ½ cups cold water
-
1 cup sparkling water or club soda
-
Ice cubes
-
Fresh mint or lemon slices for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
-
Make the blueberry base: In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine blueberries and honey/maple syrup. Simmer for 5–7 minutes until berries burst and become syrupy. Mash gently and let cool.
-
Strain (optional): For a smoother drink, strain the blueberry syrup through a fine mesh sieve.
-
Mix it up: In a large jar or pitcher, stir together the lemon juice, cold water, and blueberry syrup. Mix well.
-
Serve: Fill glasses with ice, pour in the lemonade mixture, and top with sparkling water. Stir gently and garnish with lemon slices or mint.
Sarah’s Tips:
-
Make a pitcher: Double or triple the recipe for parties or BBQs.
-
Berry swap: Try it with blackberries or raspberries too!
-
Want it sweeter? Add a splash more honey, or top with flavored sparkling water.
