Turkey and Hummus Wrap Recipe

There were so many nights when dinner felt like a juggling act—between homework, laundry, and trying to eat something other than crackers and cheese at the counter.
That’s when I fell in love with wraps. Especially this one.
This turkey and hummus wrap is my go-to when I want something quick but still balanced. The creamy hummus, lean turkey, and crunchy veggies make it satisfying without being heavy—and it takes maybe 10 minutes to throw together.
It’s one of those meals that feels like a “win” in every way: no cooking, no cleanup, and totally delicious.
Ingredients
-
1 whole grain wrap or tortilla
-
2 tbsp hummus (any flavor you like)
-
3–4 slices of deli turkey breast (nitrate-free if possible)
-
1/4 avocado, sliced
-
1/4 cup shredded carrots
-
1/4 cup baby spinach or arugula
-
2–3 cucumber slices
-
Salt and pepper, to taste
-
Optional: a squeeze of lemon or drizzle of balsamic for extra flavor
Instructions
-
Spread hummus evenly over the entire wrap.
-
Layer on the turkey, avocado, carrots, spinach, and cucumber. Sprinkle with salt and pepper if desired.
-
Roll it up tightly, tucking in the sides as you go.
-
Slice in half and serve immediately—or wrap in foil or parchment if taking it to-go.
Why I Love This Wrap
It’s fast, flexible, and doesn’t leave me feeling weighed down. I’ll pack it in my purse when we’re running errands or throw it together when I need a real meal fast. It also works great for school lunches or an after-workout bite.
Back when I used to think “healthy eating” meant complicated meal plans or hours of prep, wraps like this showed me it could be simple and doable. No fancy ingredients, just real food that fuels you—and tastes great.
