High Protein Maple-Mustard Grilled Pork Loin Recipe

Back when my kids were little, I used to avoid grilling pork loin — it felt too easy to mess up. It either came out dry or bland, and I just didn’t have the energy to baby-sit the grill. But once I learned the secret of brushing on a maple-mustard glaze at just the right time… game changer.
This recipe is fast, flavorful, and so much easier than it looks. The outside gets caramelized and golden, while the inside stays juicy and tender. It’s my secret weapon for low-stress summer dinners that still feel special.
Ingredients
-
2–2.5 lb boneless pork loin roast
-
1 tbsp olive oil
-
1 tsp garlic powder
-
1 tsp salt
-
½ tsp black pepper
For the Maple-Mustard Glaze:
-
¼ cup Dijon mustard
-
2 tbsp maple syrup
-
1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
-
1 tsp soy sauce (optional, for depth)
Instructions
-
Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (around 400°F).
-
Pat the pork loin dry and rub with olive oil, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
-
In a small bowl, whisk together all glaze ingredients and set aside.
-
Place pork loin on the grill and sear all sides for about 2–3 minutes per side.
-
Lower the heat to medium, close the lid, and grill for about 20–25 minutes, turning occasionally.
-
In the last 10 minutes of grilling, brush generously with the maple-mustard glaze, allowing it to caramelize.
-
Remove when internal temp reaches 145°F. Rest for 5–10 minutes before slicing.
Sarah’s Tips
-
If your grill has hot spots, move the pork to indirect heat after searing to avoid burning the glaze.
-
Want extra flavor? Marinate the pork in half the glaze for 1–2 hours before grilling, then reserve the rest for brushing.
-
This is great served with grilled asparagus or a fresh corn and tomato salad.
